Introducing the new GRILLIPEDE grilling tool from Dixie Grillworks
This is the one cooking tool every grilling enthusiast should have! A sturdy stainless steel rack enables you to cook up delicious stuffed jalapenos and grill chicken drumettes right on your grill.
MORE RACK FOR YOUR BUCK!
Sometimes bigger really is better. Other companies jam as many holes as they can into their racks. This cuts down on their material costs but makes for an inferior cooking tool. Our standard 25-pepper rack is as big as other racks that hold 30-40 peppers or more. The Grillipede Pro holds up to 36 peppers while leaving you room on your grill to cook, and the Grillipede Jumbo holds a whopping 72 peppers! Feed everyone you know!
Why is this important? Five big reasons:
1. You can easily fill the rack and remove the cooked peppers without making a mess. Our hole spacing is twice as roomy as most racks, so you can stuff your peppers with plenty of filling or wrap them with bacon without getting them tangled together or mashing out the filling. Everyone agrees that a jalapeno with plenty of stuffing is much more satisfying, so don't buy a rack that forces you to skimp on the filling!
2. You can handle the rack without touching the peppers. Most companies make racks so small that they have to add some type of handle just so you can carry the rack without squashing the food.
3. You can cook chicken drumettes (those great little drumsticks everyone fights over when you have Buffalo-style hot wings) on your rack. Because the rack is roomier, you can fill the holes with drumettes and cook them on the grill without turning or burning! The rack keeps excess sauce from dripping into the fire and keeps the flames from blackening the sauce that is on the meaty part of the drumettes. Don't miss out on grilling up a batch of drumettes because your rack is too small.
4. Less mess!!! No matter how careful you are, you will eventually overload a pepper or two and have gooey filling work its way out. The larger top surface of the Grillipede keeps spilled filling from getting all over your grill or counter top. It's easy to clean and is dishwasher safe.
5. It's sturdy. We use only heavy gauge stainless steel sheets to build the Grillipede-no wire handles or legs. Some brands come in clever shapes, but these cost more and cook fewer peppers. They also typically have wire legs or handles that are easy to bend or break (imagine dropping the rack onto the patio). We also use thicker material than most other companies, so your Grillipede will last for years to come without warping and bending. The Grillipede may not be sexy looking, but is one tough cooking tool!
